I could not get into Fil's character at all. Good for her that she lost some weight and grew a backbone, but she was mostly obnoxious and more than a little irritating to read. It's probably because she was so "in your face" about her transformation. There was nothing mature about her and that Trent pursued her knowing this was doubly annoying.

Trent mentioned that he would have wanted Fil even when she was overweight...that would have made a much more interesting story!

I normally like old-school Krentz, but this just fell flat. 2 stars just because I normally like JAK.
Didn't like the hero or the heroine or the story! I wonder why I even finished???? and really wonder why I bought it.
