Stone undertakes a relentless quest to unlock the mysteries of the bones, but the closer he gets to the truth the more elusive and perilous it becomes. Will Stone find the answers in time before anyone else dies and Stuart slides into the shadow world of evil? The price he pays along the way proves to be more than he expected.

I am Joe Moody, Susan's husband and I read this book. I enjoyed many aspects of the book. The plot has interesting and unexpected twists and turns and provides an interesting look at one slice of Georgia culture from the 1990s. I enjoyed the descriptions of the river scenes and action. The emphasis is on the plot without longwinded descriptions. The description of evil does not try to give a pat answer to the issue of necromancy but provides a fine opportunity to consider the possibilities. The dynamics of relationships between husband and wife and between brothers are realistic and sensitively portrayed. It was hard to put the book down once I started. The portrayal of the church and clergy is much less negative than many publications today - a refreshing change.Product details

The Necromancer of Etowah J K Dent 9781500706012 Books Reviews
This book is definitely a page turner! I had a hard time putting it down. I can't wait to find out what happens next.
This book kept me interested and wanting to turn the page. I don't often read fiction, so when I do, I want it to keep me engaged, and this did. The characters were well-developed, and made me mad, proud, disappointed, and happy - like real people should. Good read with a good message!
A good read with a good plot.
Very entertaining book! I could not put it down.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and couldn't put it down. I loved the way it made me wonder what was at the root of the brother's troubles. It was a great summer read.
I really enjoyed the story. This was an easy read and suspenseful throughout. I was engrossed with the storyline and it kept me wanting to read beyond any reasonable hour late at night. The characters are well developed. The author is very descriptive in the details of the characters and the surroundings. I would definitely recommend this book to friends and family.
Very nice book for a first publication by this author. The action is very past paced, and it doesn't take long for you to get sucked into the storyline. The book gives a very definite religious perspective, without becoming preachy, like a lot of other books in this genre. It also doesn't pretend to judge the non-christians in the book, rather it lets the reader draw their own conclusions. It was nice to read a book that is clearly faith-based, without it casting positive or negative judgement on either side. The only "evil" in this book are the cursed bones that the brothers discover, and even then, the author doesn't come out and say it, he just let's the plot unfold, and again, the reader can make up their mind about whether the evil is real or just a crazy string of events. However, the bones create conflict and controversey, whiuch is real, and its fun to see how the characters work around the situations. Overall, a very quick and exciting read, without a lot of fluff to slow it down.
