1. Knowing You picks up where the first book of The Jade Series left off. Garrett has decided that he doesn't care what his uppity father says, he likes Jade and is going to continue to date her. But like the tagline on the cover says, some secrets can't stay hidden. As the truth about Jade's mother comes out and the health of Frank (Jade's legal guardian) declines, Jade is in for some interesting situations. Especially as she learns more about Garret and his father's world.

2. A lot of the conflict in this book had to due with the backstory of Jade's mother and Jade's biological father. As the story goes on, some pretty shady stuff happens. I'm not going to say that what is because that would ruin the book for you! But I do enjoy the polital-ness of this story and I think that Allie Everhart has really created interesting back stories for these characters. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the books in the series and finding out what else could possibly happen.

3. I wasn't sure how I felt about Garrett at first. In Book 1 it took me the whole book to figure out who he really was, and even then I had some reservations. But he's really turned out to be a great guy, and a great companion for Jade. When he tells Jade that he loves her and she's so confused and asks him to explain how he knows, I felt like my heart was melting. They're a cute couple and I definitely hope they're able to stay together throughout the rest of the series.

4. Jade does annoy me a little bit with her constant negativity. I get where she's coming from, because she has had a rough past, but she's very harsh with Garret sometimes when he talks about the future. I want to pull her aside and tell her to knock it off whenever she obsesses about the two of them breaking up. lol

5. This is book 2 and I believe there are 6 more books in the series. Yay! That means I have lots more to read. A LOT of dramatic things happened in this book and now that Jade is started to be accepted by Mr. Kensington, I feel like anything could happen.

I loved this installment in the series even more than the last one. Everything that I didn’t like about the last one wasn’t in this one so I was able to read and just enjoy it. I loved Garrett and Jade is slowly but surely growing on me. In every book she gets better and better. Anyway I was really really happy with this book.

Jade is going through even more in this book than she did in the last one. The calls are continuing to happen and they are getting worse and worse. Not only that but she is getting visits now. She also finally tells Garrett about the phone calls and of course he was perfect and was there for her through the whole thing. I really like that Jade doesn’t instantly get over her past. She works at it and she tries to make it better. Sometimes to me it doesn’t seem like she tries at all to get better. She plays Garrett like a yo-yo through this book. They are finally together and she pushes and pulls him away all of the time. I am really glad that Garrett finally said something. I think that I would have flipped my lid a lot sooner than Garrett did so props to him.

He is very understanding and wonderful through this whole book. He loves her so much and it is so clear to everyone but her. Garrett was probably the best in this book. He did everything he could to take care of her. He doesn’t seem to take anything for granted. He also shows that he isn’t the stereotypical rich kid. He is comfortable with where Jade grew up and how she grew up. He just wants to be able to give her things and granted I wouldn’t be able to except everything that he gives her but I definitely wouldn’t give him as much trouble as she gives him.

“Jade look at me.” I slowly lift my head and our eyes meet again. “I love you.”

We finally get the answer we have been looking for. The person on the phone calls are revealed, who her dad is is revealed, and how much the two of them love each other are revealed. It was a very fast paced book. There were also some heart stopping and heart breaking moments in this book as well. The romance is kicked up in this one as they get closer as an actual couple. They move forward and work through the bumps that Jade causes. Garrett’s father finally backs off and they can breathe a little easier as a couple. Garrett really is swoon-worthy in this book.

”You said you’d stay with me forever if I wanted you to, Garrett.” I keep talking to his unresponsive face, tears streaming down my face. “So you better not leave me. Because I want that. You and Me. And whatever this is we have together. I want it forever. I want it so bad.”

Jade really comes to terms with her feelings. I mean sometimes she isn’t the best at expressing them and I hope she gets better but I am glad she is finally expressing them sometimes. I hope it happens soon cause if I was Garrett I would really think she hated me. She really isn’t that nice all of the time. There is more humor in this book too. Jade doesn’t mean to be funny but she really is sometimes. The way the two of the react and interact with each other is great too. This book was great and I can’t wait to read the next ones in the book!

I cannot wait for the next book to come out. I'm loving this series! I really do hope the author will be able to release the book sooner than December.

This series of books is definitely something I would recommend for readers of all ages. It's not the typical angst read, it's got you on the edge waiting to see what happens.

Job well done Allie. I'm now officially a fan!
